⚒️ How to integrate Mayday in Zendesk

🛠 Integrate Mayday with Zendesk

To link your Zendesk account to your Mayday account, follow these steps:

1. Activate "Features" to follow the installation steps;

2. Step "Generate a Mayday token" : generate the token and copy it, it will need to be used later;

3. Click on the "Install Mayday application" button: you will be redirected to the Zendesk marketplace:

   1. Install Mayday by clicking on "Install";

   2. Choose the Mayday workspace and then click on "Install";

   3. Name the application;

   4. Fill in the Zendesk "Subdomain" field of your Zendesk space (the "subdomain" corresponds to the part of the URL present before '("zendesk.com");

   5. Paste the token previously copied on Mayday in the "API Key" section;

   6. If you wish, you can check the "Enable role restrictions?" and/or "Enable group restrictions?" boxes to allow certain users to access the Mayday application on Zendesk.

4. Return to Mayday and consult the information in step "Establish the secure oAuth connection":

   1. Return to Zendesk;

   2. Go to the "Apps and integrations" > "Zendesk API" > "OAuth Clients" tab;

   3. Click on "Add OAuth client" and fill in the requested fields exactly as specified on Mayday;

   4. Click on "Save”: a "Secret" code will appear, copy it (attention, it is only visible once);

   5. Return to Mayday, fill in the subdomain (the "subdomain" corresponds to the part of the URL present before ".zendesk.com"), enter "mayday" as the unique identifier and, in "Zendesk Secret", paste the "Secret" code previously copied on Zendesk;

   6. Click on "Finalize connection" and then accept permissions on Zendesk.

The Mayday application is now installed on your Zendesk account! 🤩
