📍 Where to set up this plugin?

✨ What is it for?

This plugin allows users to display the list of trending content over a given period. The plugin lists the most viewed content during this period and can be filtered over three periods:

• Over the last week

• Over the last month

• Over the last 3 months

This feature allows users to view the most viewed content in the knowledge base. It is a feature that will allow them to stay up to date on trending content within the company.

⚙ Set up this plugin

This plugin can be activated in two ways:

1⃣ In the Plugin Catalog section

1. Go to the settings in the "Plugin Catalog" section and activate "Highlight trending content"

2. Click on "Configure” and choose the interfaces on which to activate this feature (Desk - Widget - Zendesk app)

2⃣ In the Integration Catalog

1. Go to the settings in the "Integration Catalog" section and choose the interface on which you want to integrate this feature.

🔎 Specificities

• This list is not limited by the knowledge base but respects the access restrictions of each user.

• This list is limited by language. That is, in a multilingual knowledge base, the list differs depending on the version viewed.

• This list is limited by the advisor's group. That is, the number of views displayed per content represents the sum of views from all users in the same group as the advisor using the plugin.

  • This ensures that advisors do not have access to data from other groups.

⚠ Important Information

This plugin is also available on the administrator homepage.

However, on this page, the number of views displayed per content represents the total number of views (from all users) on that content, regardless of the user's group, unlike the advisor-side plugin.

Furthermore, for public knowledge bases, the number of views represents public views and does not include views of public content on private platforms (admin center, Mayday Desk, etc.).
